On Friday 16th July, 2026, I had the privilege of participating in the debate session during the Young People's Week Celebration 2026 at Ebenezer Methodist Church – Tsui Bleoo, under the Methodist Church Ghana, Tema Diocese – Ashaiman North Circuit.
The motion for the debate was:
"Social media has a major impact on our worship service."
Representing the Gentlemen's team, my colleague Enoch and I spoke against the motion, presenting arguments on the potential negative effects of social media on our worship experience. While the Ladies' team carried the day, the evening reminded me that success isn't measured only by the final result, but also by the opportunity to learn, communicate effectively, and engage respectfully with differing perspectives.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a thoughtful discussion. Experiences like these continue to sharpen my public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills—qualities that are valuable both in ministry and in every professional setting.
A special appreciation to my teammate, Enoch. It was a pleasure sharing the platform with you. Your preparation, insight, and teamwork made the experience both enjoyable and rewarding.
To everyone who made the programme meaningful—from the moderators and judges to the audience who listened and engaged—thank you for creating an atmosphere that encouraged learning and growth.
Above all, I give God all the glory for the wisdom, confidence, and grace to stand before His people.
